Valtie Nunn

Valtie was inspired to take up the violin by her sister Rebecca Lawrence who was her teacher for six years. She is rapidly gaining acclaim for her captivating performances of well known, neglected and contemporary works. Valtie graduated with first class honors from Trinity College of Music, where she was taught by Andrew Sherwood. She has since studied with Ivry Gitlis, the late Hugh Bean, Tamsin Little, Pieter Schoeman, and Ofer Falk. An avid chamber musician, Valtie works in a duo with Manuel Lopez Jorge and in The Golden Piano Trio with Manuel and cellist Paloma Garcia Oliver. Concerto performances include the Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky Violin Concertos. Valtie plays a violin by the renowned Italian maker Johannes Franciscus Pressenda made in 1847, which is on loan from Trinity College of Music.

Pavlos Carvalho

Pavlos first studied cello with his father Santiago, later graduating from the RCM with distinction in solo and chamber music. Pavlos appears regularly as a soloist and chamber musician in the UK and abroad with a wide-ranging repertoire. He performs regularly with the LPO Chamber Ensemble and holds a residency at Cambridge University. He has recently recorded a programme of world music for BBC radio 3's "World on 3" series. Pavlos has taken part in many master classes, including a BBC televised class given by Lynn Harrell and the Manchester Cello Festival with Janos Starker. A large part of Pavlos' musical life is dedicated to outreach work. He is currently working with the Wigmore Hall's "Music For Life"
