Alison Farrant

Alison is a renowned local musician with an impressive array of achievements behind her and a well-deserved reputation for the excellent standard of her performance. She studied with Phyllis Sellick at the Royal College of Music, then won a scholarship on to the Advanced Solo Course and won the Ellen Marie Curtis Prize. She has given many piano recitals, also performing regularly as a chamber musician and concerto soloist.

Helen Arnold

Helen trained with Marisa Robles, Fiona Hibbert and Sidonie Goosens. She played for the NYO and later graduated from the University of Surrey. She is well known in the South East as a freelance harpist and recitalist, playing for many different types of function. She holds one of this country's largest teaching practices solely for harpists.

Janina Byrne

Janina studied with Gareth Morris at the Royal Academy of Music, and later with Adrian Brett and Kirsten Spratt. She plays principal flute with orchestras in London, the South East and Europe. She has performed concertos with the Corelli Ensemble, the Sussex Baroque Ensemble, Britannia Philharmonica and others, and is much in demand as a chamber musician.

Jenny King

Jenny, who spent her childhood in Horsham, is another well-known musician. She was a member of the NYO and EUYO. She studied with Simon Fischer at the Junior Guildhall and with Howard Davies at the Royal Academy, where she won several prestigious prizes. She is a member of the first violin section of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, a post she has held for 9 years, combining this with the demands of freelance work. We much look forward to hearing her interpretation of the Bruch Concerto No. 1.
